Recently renovated home overlooking the North Channel, available for rent starting in 2006. The building is located in the village of Meldrum Bay at the western tip of Manitoulin Island. The site is approximately an acre in size.

Meldrum Bay is an ideal location for those who love nature but also want to be close to amenities offered by a local hotel and restaurant as well as a general store with a post office and LCBO.

The Meldrum Bay cottage was built in the early 1900’s by settlers in the area. We purchased the property in 1988 when we were drawn to the beauty of the Meldrum Bay and North Channel areas.

Between 2003 and 2005 the building was restored by a local builder, Bob Benedict, who worked with the owners to maintain the historic outside of the structure which is covered in cedar shingles. The interior is cedar lined and the floors are pine. Almost all of the wood used in this renovation was grown and milled on Manitoulin Island.
