 There are many swimming spots in and around Meldrum Bay. PARK AREA We often go swimming at the public park just below the Meldrum Bay Inn. We enter the water by the dock beside the boat ramp. The water is deep here and is very refreshing – not for the faint of heart.ELIZABETH BAY Just before you come to Evansville (heading back towards Gore Bay) there is an area called Elizabeth Bay with an area for public swimming. The beach is sandy and warmer than in Meldrum Bay. It’s about a twenty minute drive from Meldrum Bay.SILVER WATER Many people use Silver Water Lake for swimming. It tends to be much warmer than the North Channel.PROVIDENCE BAY If you want to go further afield, try Providence Bay - on the southern coast of Manitoulin Island (on the Lake Huron side). This long, sandy beach is well known and has a lot of attractions.
